2022 Age Group and Championships Volunteers

This year’s competition really crept up fast and we have a few gaps in our volunteers.
The Age Groups and Championships will be held at Liverpool Aquatic Centre and once again we need your support to ensure the competition runs to its usual high standards.
- Saturday 22 January – S1 & S2
- Sunday 23 January – S3 & S4
- Saturday 29 January – S5 & S6
- Sunday 30 January – S7 & S8
- Saturday 5 February – S9 & S10
- Sunday 6 February – S11 & S12
If you are available for a single session or whole weekend, we would love to hear from you, volunteers must hold a current DBS check for roles were you are directly in contact with the swimmers.

2022 Age Group and Championships Merchandise

There have been many, many request for this and apologises we can’t answer all the queries we have been sent but hopefully this answer all your questions.
The 2022 Age Group and Championships Merchandise is ready to order for delivery, we have once again partnered with Mail Sports, who will be producing the official hoodies and hat(caps) for this years event.

PLEASE NOTE THESE ITEM ARE ORDER ONLY, WITH A CUTOFF OF 23/01/22. ORDERS WILL BE POSTED DURING FEBURARY, mailsports will aim to get them out as quick as possible but there is a lead time to get stock , have it printed and sent out to you.
Sadly Mailsports will not be in attendance at the event, so only way to get this merchandise is to order it from the website and have it deliverer to your home

Please find linked below the confirmed programme of events for the 2022 age group and championships. All three weekend with be held at Liverpool Aquatics Centre, due limited amount space at this centre sadly the event will run with no spectators, however we will be live streaming the event as usual.
The entry pack will be made available next week and entries are to be submitted by clubs using Sportsystems Entry Manager. Times will be accepted from the 1st January 2020 to 9th January 2022 from a licensed meet (Levels 1,2,3,4 & Level X), no split times will be accepted, closing date for entries will be the 12th January 2022.

The 2022 Age Group and Championships will take place over three weekends.
Saturday 22nd Sunday 23rd January
Saturday 29th Sunday 30th January
Saturday 5th Sunday 6th February
All three weekend with be at Liverpool Aquatics Centre, as Manchester Aquatics Centre will be closed for refurbishment during this time. As Liverpool’s spectator capacity is less than a third of Manchester’s, spectator seating will be issued via a ticket system, more information in the coming months. Because of this we will be heavily relying on our streamed live output during the event.
We are currently planning to stream all three weekends, to help keep the entry price of the championships down we looking for companies to partner with us to reduce the cost to the swimmer. If you know of any companies or individual who would be able to support us, please could they contact Rick Atkinson directly rick@wiganswimming.co.uk.
The programme of events is currently being working on and once a draft version is available it will be published, as in previous year, there will be finals for 50 and 100 metre events.
Consideration times will be the same as they were in 2020 and have published below, times will be accepted from the 1st January 2020 to 9th January 2022 from a licensed meet (Levels 1,2,3,4 & Level X), no split times will be accepted.
